Intraday Calls

During previous intraday the Nifty made a high of 6074 and low of 6030. After making an intraday range of 44 points the Nifty closed at 6057. On the last trading day, European indices were up. FTSE was up 13 points, CAC was up 15 points, and DAX was up 61 points. US markets were positive. Dow Jones closed up 24 points, Nasdaq was up by 27 points and S&P 500 was up by 27 points.

Yesterday, FIIs sold Rs. 49 crores in cash segment whereas DIIs sold Rs. 58 crores in cash segment. FIIs sold Rs. 7 crores in Index futures and FIIs sold Rs. 241 crores of index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 98 crores and in stock options FIIs bought Rs. 10 crores.

In Nifty options segment, Nifty 6100 call adds 5.9 lac shares and Nifty 6050 call adds 11.8 lac shares. Whereas Nifty 6100 put sheds 6.35 lac shares and Nifty 6050 put adds 5.4 lac shares. 6050 level looks like the battleground. Expiry can be around 6050 plus/minus 20 points.

Today morning, Asian markets are trading positive. Nikkei up points 170, Hang Seng up 130 points Taiwan up by 63 points and Kospi up by 14 points. In Nifty options segment, Nifty 6200 call adds 7.2 lac shares and Nifty 6100 call adds 11.45 lac shares. Whereas Nifty 6100 put sheds 10.25 lac shares and Nifty 6000 put sheds 12.8 lac shares. Nifty 6050 put adds 4.15 lac shares. Till expiry, Nifty should take support around 6000.

During previous intraday the Nifty made a high of 6123 and low 6036. After making an intraday range of 87 points the Nifty closed at 6115. On the last trading day, European indices were positive. FTSE was up 20 points, CAC was up 23 points, and DAX was up 88 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed up 8 points, Nasdaq was up by 3 points and S&P 500 was down by 2 points.

Yesterday, FIIs bought Rs. 838 crores in cash segment whereas DIIs sold Rs. 792 crores in cash. FIIs purchased Rs. 535 crores in Index futures and bought Rs. 880 crores of index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 90 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 24 crores.

In Nifty options segment, Nifty 6100 call sheds 16.75 lac shares and Nifty 6000 call sheds 23.2 lac shares. Whereas Nifty 6100 put adds 21.85 lac shares and Nifty 6000 put adds 12.3 lac shares. This change puts pressure on bears and send them to back foot. Now till expiry, Nifty should take support around 6000.

Yesterday, FIIs sold Rs. 60 crores in cash segment whereas DIIs sold Rs.651 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 1189 crores in Index futures and bought Rs. 662 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 266 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 53 crores. Index futures saw heavy selling.

In Nifty options segment, Nifty 6200 put shed 12.3 lac shares along with Nifty 6100 put OI down by 12.6 lac shares. Whereas Nifty 5900 put adds more than 12 lac shares. Heavy OI addition seen in Nifty 6200 call 8.4 lac, Nifty 6100 call 16.1 lac, and Nifty 6000 call 24.6 lac shares. So till expiry, Nifty may not be able to cross 6100 and 5900 should act as support for Nifty.

Weekly Review October 26, 2013

HOME

In the previous week the NIFTY closed at 6189. The NIFTY opened at 6202 and after touching the new high of 2013 i.e. 6252 we made a low of 6116 and closed at 6145. After three weeks of gains we closed lower as compared to the previous week.

We are still at the resistance level in the monthly charts. As I said earlier, that we should not rise very rapidly and also we should not fall very sharply.

The most important upcoming event in the coming week is RBI credit policy, it is on October 29. This will be the main driving force for market. Upcoming important results for the week are Dabur India 28 Oct 2013, Maruti 28 Oct 2013, NTPC 29 Oct 2013, Ranbaxy 29 Oct 2013, Bata India 30 Oct 2013, Bharti Airtel 30 Oct 2013, Lupin 30 Oct 2013. You may have seen that DABUR is making new life time highs. This is because it is another stock which is in the long term bull run. Any correction of 15% to 20% is a buying opportunity in this stock.

INR may be under pressure and it may not be able to rise further for the whole week.

On the previous trading day the NIFTY closed at 6251 up 31 points. High for the day was 6269 and the low for the day was 6222. Total range for the day was 47 points. Nifty is moving no where. I think they have planned the new high for Nifty on Diwali Muhurat Trading. The best way to play with our sentiment is to make a new high on the day which is auspicious for us.

Weekly Review November 3, 2013

HOME

The last weekly closing for NIFTY was at 6145. This week NIFTY opened at 6155 and after making the low of 6079 it touches the high of 6342 on the Diwali Muhurat trading and closed the week at 6317. Total gain for the NIFTY in this week is 172 points. The winners of the week were PSU banks.

In the coming week, I expect we may trade in new high zone for NIFTY.

Upcoming important results for the week are ABB Ltd. 6 Nov 2013, BHEL 6 Nov 2013, TECH MAHINDRA 7 Nov 2013, PNB 8 Nov 2013, TATA MOTORS 8 Nov 2013. Here you can find more detail on upcoming results.

INFY has completed its bull market in December 2011. It got support from the Rs. depreciation and the overall bull market of IT index. When the bad times comes INFY should lead the fall in IT index. I will not invest in INFY for next 2 to 3 years. I think, it may come down to 2000 in coming times.

As expected, INR was unable to rise in the last week. In this week it should not make any significant gains.
