Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:
During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 50 points. The Nifty closed 10 points positive at 6284, after making an intraday high and low of 6317 and 6267 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were positive. FTSE was up 72 points, CAC was up 22 points, and DAX was up 89 points. US markets were also strong. Dow Jones closed up 73 points, S&P 500 was up 10 points, and Nasdaq was up by 44 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:
On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 135 crores in cash segment and DIIs also bought Rs. 38 crores in cash. FIIs bought Rs. 537 crores in Index futures and FIIs purchased Rs. 121 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs purchased Rs. 46 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 54 crores.

Options Segment Activity:
Data of Nifty options segment tells that, Nifty 6400 call adds 6.6 lac shares and 6300 call sheds 4.7 lac shares. Highest OI is at 6300 call with 60 lac shares outstanding. Nifty 6300 put adds 7.6 lac shares and 6250 put adds 5 lac shares. Highest OI is at 6200 put with 67 lac shares.    

Currency Market:
In the currency market the USDINR closed at 61.84. The INR was strong by 0.19 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading positive. Nikkei is up 136 points, Hang Seng is up 142 points Taiwan is up by 11 points and Kospi is up by 2 points. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 9 points positive till 7:18 a.m. So we can expect a positive opening. 

Today Nifty opened at 6296 up 11 points and made an intraday high of 6301 and low of 6278 till 9:54 a.m. Today market should remain in a small range.

Mid-day Review:

Nifty is at 6287 up 3 points. Nifty made an intraday high of 6301 and low of 6278 till 1:02 p.m. As expected in the morning the market is in small range. All action is in midcap stocks. Top gainers for Nifty are RANBAXY, AMBUJACEM, and ULTRACEMCO whereas losers are TATAPOWER, SSTL, and HEROMOTOCO. Here you can find more detail on gainers and losers. Intraday Options Data:

On the options front, Nifty 6300 call adds 7 lac shares and 6350 call adds 6.3 lac shares. Nifty 6300 put adds 11.1 lac shares and 6250 call adds 8 lac shares.
