Intraday Calls

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 47 points. The Nifty closed 69 points negative at 6168, after making an intraday high and low of 6208 and 6161 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were negative. FTSE was down 5 points, CAC was down 9 points, and DAX was down 11 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed up 16 points, S&P 500 was down 0.18 points, and Nasdaq was up by 3 points.

On the last trading day, FIIs sold Rs. 432 crores in cash segment and DIIs also sold Rs. 45 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 902 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 996 crores of index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 676 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 28 crores. FIIs are selling in every segment.

Data of Nifty options segment tells that, Nifty 6300 call adds 15.6 lac shares and 6200 call adds 11.3 lac shares. Highest OI is at 6300 call with 70 lac shares outstanding. Nifty 6300 put sheds 7.3 lac shares and 6200 put sheds 4 lac shares while 6100 put adds 6.9 lac shares. Highest OI is at 6000 put with 54.6 lac shares.    

Today morning, Asian markets are trading down. Nikkei is down 114 points, Hang Seng is down 132 points Taiwan is down by 41 points and Kospi is down by 1 point. Today Nifty opened at 6168 and made an intraday high of 6183 and low of 6153 till 9:58 p.m. Today during the market hours, WPI numbers will come.

For the intraday, till 1:05 p.m. Nifty is down about 7 points. Top gainers for Nifty are INFY, SSTL, and COALINDIA and losers are JINDALSTEL, HINDALCO, and BPCL. On the options front, Nifty 6200 call adds 4 lac shares and 6300 calls also add more than 3.6 lac shares. Nifty 6100 put adds 5 lac shares and 6000 put adds 5.1 lac shares. Nifty has made a high of 6183 and low of 6146 till 3:08 p.m. Intraday options data tells that the next support for Nifty is around 6100 and next resistance is at 6300. Nifty 6300 call and 6000 put have the highest OI. I have closed all intraday trades. BTST for the day is none. STBT for the day is none. It was a dull day but some midcap shares were moving higher.
