Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty made a high of 6239 and low 6139. After making an intraday range of 100 points, the Share Bazaar closed up 3 points at 6171. On the last trading day, European indices were positive. FTSE was up 49 points, CAC was up 25 points, and DAX was up 52 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed down 8 points, S&P 500 was up 4 points, and Nasdaq was up by 18 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

Yesterday, FIIs bought Rs. 68 crores in cash segment and DIIs also bought Rs. 82 crores in cash. FIIs purchased Rs. 145 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 415 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 28 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 119 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, January series options data tells that, Nifty 6400 call adds 5 lac shares and 6200 call adds 3.1 lac shares. Nifty 6100 put adds 3.3 lac shares. Maximum 51 lac shares are outstanding at 6300 call and 52 lac shares at 6000 put. According to options data, bulls try to build pressure but bears still have upper hand.  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 61.90. The INR was strong by 0.17 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading positive. Nikkei is closed, Hang Seng is up 200 points, Taiwan is up by 69 points and Kospi is up by 13 points. Today Nifty opened at 6189 up 18 points and made an intraday high of 6259 and low of 6189 till 10:06 a.m. The market is near its resistance levels.

Mid-day Review:
For the intraday, till 1:07 p.m. Nifty is up about 71 points. Top gainers for Nifty are INFY, HCLTECH, and TCS while losers are RANBAXY, TATAPOWER, and JPASSOCIAT. Intraday Options Data:
