Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty made a high of 6350 and low 6287. After making an intraday range of 63 points, the Share Bazaar closed up 25 points at 6339. On the last trading day, European indices were mix. FTSE was down 8 points, CAC was up 1 point, and DAX was down 10 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed down 41 points, S&P 500 was up 1 point, and Nasdaq was up by 17 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

Yesterday, FIIs bought Rs. 279 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 91 crores in cash. FIIs purchased Rs. 92 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 307 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 72 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 95 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, January series options data tells that, Nifty 6400 call adds 1.7 lac shares and 6300 call sheds 2.7 lac shares. Nifty 6300 put adds 8.5 lac shares. Maximum 50.8 lac shares are outstanding at 6500 call and 67.4 lac shares at 6200 put. According to options data, bulls have upper hand on bears.  

Currency Market:
In the currency market the USDINR closed at 61.81. The INR was strong by 0.05 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading mix. Nikkei is up 95 points, Hang Seng is down 95 points, Taiwan is up by 10 points and Kospi is down by 7 points. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 9 points negative till 7:06 a.m. So we can expect a flat opening.

Today Nifty opened at 6326 down 13 points and made an intraday high of 6342 and low of 6316 till 10 a.m. Today Nifty should give two way moves in a small range.

Mid-day Review:

Nifty is at 6341 up 2 points. Nifty made an intraday high of 6345 and low of 6316 till 1:17 p.m. Top gainers for Nifty are LT, JINDALSTEL, and GAIL whereas losers are HCLTECH, M&M, and ONGC. Intraday Options Data:

On the options front, Nifty 6400 call adds 5.7 lac shares. Nifty 6300 put adds 7.4 lac shares. According to intraday data of options, Nifty 6200 put and 6400 call have the highest OI. Full detail of Nifty options can be viewed here.

Nifty 6300 put adds 12.6 lac shares and 6200 put sheds 4.2 lac shares. Highest OI is at 6500 call at 56.2 lac shares and 6300 put at 75.4 lac shares.
