Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty made a high of 6346 and low 6299. After making an intraday range of 47 points, the Share Bazaar closed down 2 points at 6319. On the last trading day, European indices were negative. FTSE was down 4 points, CAC was down 13 points, and DAX was down 16 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed down 65 points, S&P 500 was down 2 points, and Nasdaq was up by 4 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

Yesterday, FIIs bought Rs. 479 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 792 crores in cash. FIIs purchased Rs. 367 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 375 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 21 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 35 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, January series options data tells that, Nifty 6300 call sheds 1.1 lac shares. Nifty 6300 put adds 3.7 lac shares and 6200 put sheds 5.8 lac shares. Maximum 47 lac shares are outstanding at 6300 call and 65 lac shares at 6200 put. According to options data, bulls/bears activity was muted.  

Currency Market:
In the currency market the USDINR closed at 61.53. The INR was strong by 0.01 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading flat to negative. Nikkei is down 100 points, Hang Seng is down 85 points, Taiwan is down by 1 point and Kospi is down by 1 point. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 12 points negative till 7:07 a.m. So we can expect a weak opening.

Today Nifty opened at 6306 down 12 points and made an intraday high of 6327 and low of 6304 till 10:15 a.m. The market should remain in a small range. 

Mid-day Review:

For the intraday, till 1:25 p.m. Nifty is down about 38 points. Top gainers for Nifty are BPCL, HINDUNILVR, and BAJAJ-AUTO while losers are COALINDIA, TCS, and WIPRO. Intraday Options Data:

Nifty 6200 put sheds 8.6 lac shares and Nifty 6300 put sheds 7.9 lac shares. Highest OI is at 6300 call at 55 lac shares and 6200 put at 56 lac shares. Bulls are under pressure.
