Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 77 points. The Share Bazaar closed 29 points negative at 6162, after making an intraday high and low of 6221 and 6144 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were up. FTSE was up 25 points, CAC was up 35 points, and DAX was up 78 points. US markets were strong. Dow Jones closed up 106 points, S&P 500 was down 11 points, and Nasdaq was down by 39 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs sold Rs. 567 crores in cash segment while DIIs bought Rs. 59 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 1329 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 34 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs bought Rs. 134 crores and in stock options FIIs purchased Rs. 47 crores.

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, January series options data tells that, Nifty 6300 call adds 5.8 lac shares and 6200 call adds 6.9 lac shares. Nifty 6000 put adds 8.5 lac shares. Highest OI of 54.4 lac shares are at 6300 call and 48.6 lac shares are at 6000 put. Highest OI in Nifty puts shifts from 6200 to 6000 levels. According to options data, Bears have upper hand on bulls.  

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 62.30. The INR was strong by 0.01 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading up. Nikkei is up 174 points, Hang Seng is up 101 points Taiwan is up by 62 points and Kospi is down by 1 point. Today Nifty opened at 6178 up 15 points and made an intraday high of 6189 and low of 6160 till 9:50 a.m. The market should remain volatile with some positive trend.

For the intraday, till 1:25 p.m. Nifty is up about 17 points. Top gainers for Nifty are COALINDIA, NMDC, and GAIL while losers are LT, BPCL, and AXISBANK.
