Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 99 points. The Share Bazaar closed 101 points positive at 6272, after making an intraday high and low of 6288 and 6189 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were up. FTSE was up 17 points, CAC was up 13 points, and DAX was up 37 points. US markets were down. Dow Jones closed down 179 points, S&P 500 was down 23 points, and Nasdaq was down by 61 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 414 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 318 crores in cash. FIIs purchased Rs. 914 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 1020 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 46 crores and in stock options FIIs bought Rs. 33 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI. 

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, January series options data tells that, Nifty 6200 call sheds 9 lac shares. Nifty 6200 put adds 21.7 lac shares. Highest OI of 48 lac shares are at 6300 call and 65 lac shares are at 6200 put. According to options data, bulls have upper hand on bears.  

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 61.52. The INR was strong by 0.38 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading down. Nikkei is down 364 points, Hang Seng is down 194 points Taiwan is down by 24 points and Kospi is down by 1 point. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 34 points negative till 7:14 a.m. So we can expect a negative opening. 

Today Nifty opened at 6260 down 12 points and made an intraday high of 6280 and low of 6258 till 10:34 a.m. The market should remain little weak.

Mid-day Review:

Nifty is at 6243 down 29 points. Nifty made an intraday high of 6280 and low of 6238 till 1:21 p.m. Top gainers for Nifty are CAIRN, M&M, and HDFC whereas losers are NMDC, JINDALSTEL, and RANBAXY. Intraday Options Data:
