Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 103 points. The Share Bazaar closed 83 points negative at 6001, after making an intraday high and low of 6094 and 5991 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were mix. FTSE was down 16 points, CAC was up 7 points, and DAX was up 57 points. US markets were up. Dow Jones closed up 64 points, S&P 500 was up 11 points, and Nasdaq was up by 39 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 399 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 292 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 199 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 338 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs purchased Rs. 158 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 9 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI. 

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, February series options data tells that, Nifty 6100 call adds 6.5 lac shares and Nifty 6000 call adds 12.9 lac shares. Nifty 6000 put adds 6.2 lac shares. Highest OI of 66.9 lac shares is at 6200 call and 97.1 lac shares is at 6000 put. According to options data, bears are putting pressure on 6000 levels.

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 62.42. The INR was weak by 0.33 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading up. Nikkei is up 86 points, Hang Seng is up 221 points Taiwan is up by 75 points, and Kospi is up by 15 points. For the intraday, till 1:01 p.m. Nifty is up about 12 points. Top gainers for Nifty are TATAMOTORS, TCS, and NTPC while losers are BHEL, BAJAJ-AUTO, and CIPLA. Nifty has made an intraday high of 6048 and low of 5984 till 3:11 p.m. Intraday options data tells that, Nifty 6100 call sheds 5.3 lac shares. Nifty 6000 put sheds 1.7 lac shares. Highest OI is at 6200 call at 66.3 lac shares and 6000 put at 93 lac shares. As told yesterday, the 6000 level is important and bulls were try to save this level.
